Video Sunday Check-In April 14, 2013

Sunday check-in video in which I talk about the week and financial literacy. Thanks to Tamsin for making me aware of financial literacy month.

You can get the Profit & Loss Spreadsheet from Debra Lloyd here.

Where would you like or need to become more financially literate?

  1. What a great result. Thank you Tamsin for putting the idea in your head to go check your spreadsheets. Crazy girl! lol.

And well done for sticking to your principles.

I am slowly putting together my own spreadsheet in order to see where my profits are comning from. Not much to look at at the moment, but hopefully the numbers will have improved by December 2013.

    Have a great week 🙂

  2. Hi Minna,

Sorry I haven’t been here for a spell, but you disappeared from my blog (I know you’re busy) and it totally slipped my mind to show up here. KICK me softly! 🙂

It’s so WONDERFUL to see you again in video! How is life treating you?

    RE: Spreadsheets

I knew I needed a better handle on what I’m paying out versus what I’m bringing in, so I bought QuickBooks Professional to keep my books.

I wanted to make blog posts regarding the earnings, but I didn’t do a good job of keeping them on a spreadsheet. Once I have all the numbers plugged into QB,I can share the posts!

  3. Bonnie – no kicks necessary. If I didn’t have a feed reader (that I’m not checking as often as I’d like) I would likely never show up to half the places I make it to.

I didn’t want to invest in something large or more costly than free until I build both the habit AND the income. Plus the learning curve of something as complex as Quickbooks just isn’t something I’m ready for yet.

Will you be doing tutorials on using it at all?
